Preamble

The General Terms and Conditions of Sale detailed below apply to all orders placed with La Centrale Vapeur for all products and services unless otherwise agreed in writing.

These general terms and conditions of sale are systematically made available to each purchaser to enable them to place an order. Consequently, the act of placing an order implies the buyer's full and unreserved acceptance of these terms and conditions of sale.

Article 1 - The price :

Our prices are quoted in euros and include all taxes.

La Centrale Vapeur May modify its prices at any time, but undertakes that products will be invoiced on the basis of the prices in force at the time the order is registered, subject to availability on that date and to effective payment.

La Centrale Vapeur Strives to guarantee products of consistent quality, and consequently reserves the right to remove an item from its site or suspend deliveries if it deems its quality to be inadequate. Such modifications, suspensions or deletions of an item shall not give rise to any compensation other than reimbursement of the undelivered order.

La Centrale Vapeur May offer its customers occasional promotions. Promotions are offered on fixed dates and on limited stocks. La Centrale Vapeur reserves the right to give priority to orders paid by credit card, and to cancel sales reserved by cheque in the event of non-receipt within 7 days.

Products remain the property of La Centrale Vapeur until the price has been paid in full.

The total price indicated on the order page is the final price. This price includes the price of the product, manufacturing, packaging and sometimes shipping costs.

Article 2 - The order :

La Centrale Vapeur offers its customers 3 ordering methods:

  • By Internet, on LaCentraleVapeur.com 
  • By post, by sending the order form and payment to: La Centrale Vapeur - 16 boulevard de Magenta, 75010, PARIS, FRANCE.
  • By phone 01 83 64 69 26 between 11 am and 7:30 pm = our hotline for information on vaporizers ;)

Orders placed by post must be dated and signed. In the case of promotional orders, the postmark will serve as proof.

All orders are subject to acceptance by La Centrale Vapeur, which reserves the right to cancel orders under certain circumstances and for good cause.

Once the order process is complete, clicking on "submit" indicates full acceptance of the order and of these general terms and conditions of sale without reservation.

The customer is informed of the availability or delivery time of an ordered product as soon as the order is placed or immediately thereafter. La Centrale Vapeur cannot be held responsible for a delivery delay (time between dispatch and delivery) that is longer than expected once the parcel has been picked up by the selected carrier.

Articles proposed by La Centrale Vapeur are described as accurately as possible. The photos and graphics in the catalogs are as close as possible to the actual product sold by La Centrale Vapeur, but small details may change, such as the color of a battery.

Article 3 - Preparing your parcel :

Orders placed before 2pm for Colissimo and 3pm for DHL can be processed, prepared and dispatched the same day, stock permitting, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

In your interest, our shipments may be delayed in relation to the date indicated at the time of ordering, due to weather conditions or disruptions to the postal network.

La Centrale Vapeur undertakes to respect as far as possible the delivery dates you have chosen and to inform you of any change in delivery dates as far as possible.

When your order includes several different delivery dates, La Centrale Vapeur may have to send it to you either in several instalments according to the delivery dates indicated, or in a single instalment.

Article 4 - Transport of your parcel :

Orders placed before 2pm for Colissimo and 3pm for DHL can be processed, prepared and dispatched the same day, stock permitting, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Delivery times are indicated in working days on the product page.

Shipments to foreign countries are automatically acknowledged by the recipient. Delivery times abroad are between 4 and 10 working days and are not our responsibility. You accept any delays that may be caused by the carrier.

Whichever shipment method you choose (except single letter), we will provide you with a link to track your package online as soon as possible. Your package will be dispatched at your own risk, but special care is taken to protect fragile objects.

For a "gift" or "delivery address different from billing address" order, we recommend that you check the "delivery" section for the contact details you need to make the delivery.

If the recipient is absent at the time of delivery :

  • Delivery by Colissimo or other selected carrier: the deliveryman will leave a delivery notice in the recipient's letterbox. The recipient must then collect it from the address specified on the delivery notice.
  • Delivery by private carrier: the delivery driver must contact the recipient on a mobile or landline telephone confirmed by the customer at the time of ordering. If there is no response, the delivery driver will identify the best solution for completing the delivery in the best possible conditions, and will leave a delivery notice.

If the recipient is absent and the parcel is pending, La Centrale Vapeur cannot be held responsible for the final quality of the delivery if the recipient is late in collecting the parcel from the services concerned.

The customer undertakes to provide La Centrale Vapeur a contact address, telephone number and e-mail address.

Home delivery within 24 to 48 hours - the usual delivery time from the time your parcel is handed over to the carrier - by Colissimo, 24 hours for DHL.

The Colissimo service is available during normal delivery periods, excluding Sundays and public holidays. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday between 8 am and 6 pm. The maximum delivery time is 48 hours, excluding disruptions to the postal network.

As glass is not guaranteed, we invite you to shake your parcel before signing for it, and to sign with reservation in case of doubt.
In the event of glass breakage on receipt, you have one hour to notify us, failing which no claim will be accepted.

Article 5 - Delivery charges :

The information provided by the purchaser when placing an order is binding. In the event of error or incompleteness in the recipient's contact details, La Centrale Vapeur cannot be held responsible for the impossibility of making delivery within the time indicated when the order was placed.

If this lack of information results in a second delivery to the address, La Centrale Vapeur may be required to charge the customer for the cost of this second delivery.

Shipping costs include packaging, handling and postage. They may include a fixed part and a variable part depending on the price or weight of your order. We advise you to group your items in one order. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to group two separate orders, and you will have to pay shipping costs for each of them.

Delivery included applies only to the countries listed.

For products with delivery charges included, please select the corresponding box when placing your order. After entering your identification and contact details, select delivery charges: free delivery !

No reimbursement of shipping costs will be made on products with delivery included if you do not check the corresponding box.

Article 6 - Delivery zones and rates :

La Centrale Vapeur ensures the delivery of its products according to the following criteria:

Postage and packing costs are calculated according to the weight of the items purchased and the delivery zone.

Article 7 - Guarantees :

In addition to the legal warranty against hidden defects, La Centrale Vapeur warrants products to be free from defects in accordance with the terms and conditions set out below.

In the event of a product defect, the customer has 14 days from receipt of purchase to return the product to La Centrale Vapeur. To benefit from this warranty, the customer must send the product to La Centrale Vapeur at his or her own expense, together with the warranty card enclosed with the product and the invoice, unless otherwise agreed in writing by La Centrale Vapeur. La Centrale Vapeur will then return, at its expense, an identical new product or the repaired product to the address indicated on the warranty card.

The legal warranty on vaporizers is provided by La Centrale Vapeur.

To benefit from this guarantee, the customer must send the defective product, and only the product (accessories must not be sent), together with the invoice, at his or her own expense, with a tracking number for delivery against signature.

The builder or LaCentraleVapeur.com will then return the repaired product(s), at its own expense, to the customer at the address indicated on the warranty card.

If the product is found to be in working order and not defective, the customer is responsible for the return of the working product, which is therefore not covered by the warranty.

We therefore invite you to contact us before returning a product you believe to be defective.

Manufacturers' contractual warranties are provided by the manufacturers and are at your expense.

La Centrale Vapeur is committed to helping you with your contractual warranty claim.

A contractual warranty is a warranty offered by the manufacturer that goes beyond the scope (e.g. duration) of the legal warranty.

For customers who do not live in metropolitan France, you will be charged for the return of the product, the amount of which depends on the size of the package.

We would be grateful if you could notify us by email and provide us with a tracking number in good time. Products should be sent to La Centrale Vapeur, 16 boulevard de Magenta, 75010 Paris.

Article 7.1 - Return :

Exercise of the legal right of withdrawal: outside the legal 14-day withdrawal period, no product may be returned without the prior agreement of La Centrale Vapeur.

During the legal retraction period, products must be returned in perfect condition for resale, with their original packaging, showing no trace of use. Failing this, the customer will be liable for all costs incurred in restoring the products to their original condition.

The customer is responsible for the cost of the return shipment.

You have a legal period of 14 days from receipt of the order to cancel and return it to us in its original condition. Refunds will be made either in the form of a voucher or in cash by bank transfer.

If you wish to cancel your order and exercise your right of withdrawal, it is imperative and we would be grateful if you would notify us by email and provide us with a tracking number in good time. Returns should be sent to La Centrale Vapeur, 16 boulevard de Magenta, 75010 Paris.
The parcel must be sent with delivery against signature.

Article 8 - Delivery incidents :

Any complaint concerning the number, contents and condition of the packages must be notified to the carrier on the delivery slip and to us within 7 clear days of receipt of the package La Centrale Vapeur, 16 boulevard de Magenta, Paris, FRANCE - or by e-mail via the contact form on our website.

If the claim could not be notified to the carrier at the time of delivery, you have 3 clear days to send a registered letter to the carrier to report the claim.

In order to follow up any complaints, Customer Service may request a copy of the letter sent and a copy of the acknowledgement of receipt.

In the event of a proven delay in delivery in relation to the date indicated at the time of ordering, please contact Customer Service in order to open a delivery inquiry with the carrier concerned.

To register a complaint with Customer Service, please give us your contact details, your invoice number, the references of the product(s) appearing on the invoice and specify the reasons for your complaint using the contact form on the site LaCentraleVapeur.com or by post.

Article 9 - Secure payment :

La Centrale Vapeur accepts the following methods of payment:

  • Credit card (Carte Bleue, Visa, MasterCard, Amex)
  • Bank transfer (IBAN)
  • Online, secure SSL transaction
  • By telephone (credit card)
  • Cash when picking up your vaporizer or other product in our store / showroom
  • La Centrale Vapeur credit note, gift voucher or gift certificate

A voucher or gift certificate can only be used once. La Centrale Vapeur reserves the right to refuse the use of a voucher or gift certificate that has expired.

Articles 9.1 - Banking transactions :

Online: secure transaction using the Bank's payment system (Secure Socket Layer).

When you enter your bank details, you are directly connected to the bank's payment server.

La Centrale Vapeur does not know your credit card number and it is not stored on its server.

In addition, all information exchanged with Banque Le Crédit Agricole IDF is encrypted using SSL protocol and cannot be intercepted or modified. At the end of the transaction, and before returning to the merchant's site, the electronic payment system presents you with an electronic ticket, showing all the elements of the payment and the result of the bank authorization request (transaction accepted or cancelled).

The site is hosted in a highly protected environment on secure servers.

Article 9.2 - Protection of consumers paying by credit card :

La Centrale Vapeur has implemented all the necessary procedures to protect you against fraudulent use of your credit card.

  • Secure payment site
  • Checking and blocking orders identified as fraudulent
  • Checking and blocking IP addresses identified as fraudulent

In the event of a fraudulent debit from your bank account, we recommend that you send a registered letter to your bank as soon as possible to have the transaction(s) rectified.

Article 10 - Customer service :

Disputes: In the event of a dispute or claim, the customer may either contact LaCentraleVapeur for an amicable solution, or take the matter to the court of his choice, as permitted by law. Rest assured, however, that our passion for the trade means that we do everything in our power to avoid such an occurrence.

In all cases, we are at your disposal from Monday to Friday, from 11 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.
