Recommendations for use of the Bowle Series II :

Autonomy and battery :

As long as the device is connected to the mains and unlocked, the LEDs remain lit in white. 5 LEDs light up when the charge is full (80 to 99%).

When the device is locked (3 quick presses on the main button) and connected to the mains, it indicates the charge level before switching off the LEDs after a few minutes of charging to avoid light pollution (mainly for dark environments).

If you reconnect the cable, the Bowle Series II will indicate a full battery with 5 LEDs, before switching them off again after a few minutes.

Please note that we recommend that you do not drain your battery completely in order to maintain its lifespan over the long term, especially when using it for the first time. The device's high-discharge cells, similar to those in electric vehicles, degrade after repeated full discharges.

We therefore recommend charging the Bowle Series II when the battery level reaches 1 to 2 bars (indicating 20 to 40%). You can then charge it fully, as the unit is protected against overcharging.

To check the battery level, press and release both buttons simultaneously before starting a session.

Bowl filling :

With the Bowle, less is more. Please follow the recommendations for the optimum amount of organic material to be placed in ceramic bowls. Never fill ceramic bowls to more than 75% of their capacity. Overfilling can lead to a build-up of material around the kiln path and cause malfunction.

Material build-up should not occur on the Puck base's oven racks when used as recommended. If a small amount of material accidentally settles around the oven grate or joint, use the soft bristle brush supplied to gently remove it. Avoid excessive pressure on the oven grate area to prevent damage to the sensitive sensors.

Cleaning the stem :

We recommend that you strictly follow the stem cleaning instructions given in the quick start guide and manual.

Another effective method is to place the stem in a Ziplock plastic bag containing enough isopropyl alcohol to cover it completely. Then immerse the sealed bag in a container (Tupperware-type or jar) filled with hot water for 2 to 4 hours. After this, shake the bag lightly to loosen any residual material inside the stem. Finally, remove the stem from the bag and use the soft bristle brush supplied to gently clean away any residue accumulated at the base of the stem housing. Rinse with lukewarm water and dry immediately by blowing in or using a hair dryer or hand dryer.

Do not unscrew or disassemble the stem base for cleaning. If the stem has a penetrating scratch on its outer surface, exposure to hot liquids or chemicals may accelerate degradation of the outer coating. If this happens, the aesthetic appearance may be altered, but the stem remains perfectly functional and safe to use.

Using the Potter Herb Shredder:

The quantity of herbs placed in the shredding section should not exceed the equivalent volume needed to fill three ceramic pots to 75%. This prevents any excess and optimizes the distribution of the material in the ceramic pots.

It's advisable to reach the ideal micron size of your herb just before turning the Potter upside down to disperse the herbs into the pots (we recommend a semi-finish grind)

Start by grinding the herbs upside down with 6 to 8 complete rotations and counter-rotations. Then turn the Potter upside down and perform another 6-8 rotations and counter-rotations to disperse the herbs evenly in the ceramic pots. This method ensures that the herbs are ground to just the right fineness before dispersing.

Remember to give a light double tap on a flat surface to release particles trapped in the slots above the ceramic pots.
